Hi, I will be telling you about machines. There are 3 types, ideal machines, simple machines, and compound machines. Machines change the direction of the force applied (advantage = direction). They change the size of force needed (advantage = force). They change the distance (speed) at which resistance moves (advantage = distance). They also make work easier.
Ideal machines are work input = work output. It does not exist. There is always work lost to friction. Simple machines are work input greater than work output. That is because of friction. Efficiency = ratio of work output to work input. Simple machines also have a mechanical advantage. Mechanical advantage = resistance force and effort force.
Some simple machines are levers (see-saw) and inclined planes (ramps, screws, and wedges.) Simple machines make work easier. They make you use less force to move the object. They also make you lass tired form where you would have to carry things. Thanks for reading. hope you enjoyed.
